Tribotz

If you want a bit of a challenge then the Tribotz is an interesting toy robot. You've only need to use basic hand tools and you can build youself this neat little blighter.

It's endorsed by the Open University (if that makes a difference).

There's three different modes:

  1. Avoider Mode - on-board sensors help it avoid obstacles (think they need it my local Asda - I always get run over by fellow shoppers)
  2. Sound Operating Mode - it moves in response to sound impulses
  3. Tracer Mode - it follows a line drawn by a felt-tip pen (I've tried this will my girlfriend. The lines from the sofa to the fridge, but she still can't seem to get me a beer!)

The Kit includes:
Plastic, metal and rubber parts
Two gearboxes
Three electronic PCBs (assembled)
A comprehensive instruction/assembly manual
Even a large poster with a predrawn thick black line for you to test your Tribotz on!

Tools Needed:
Cutting Pliers
Small Hammer
Long Nose Pliers
Small Phillips Screwdriver
One 9V and two AA batteries
